We’ve been hard at work improving Snapizzi, and we’re excited to share the update we just released. The biggest change is how Snapizzi will handle your images. Previously, we depended on our partner platforms for storing project images. But now, with the introduction of Snapizzi Port, we’re stepping into a new era of autonomy.

Snapizzi Port introduces a two-step project posting process and a fresh approach to project management. Your “Master Project” will now safely reside in your Snapizzi account, ready for you to post on our partner platforms, bundle images, or create proof sheets. This not only creates project portability but also strengthens your workflow. Plus, we’ve got some new features on the horizon, thanks to our revamped architecture!

This evolution in project handling is designed to foster a more symbiotic relationship with our partner platforms and enable us to easily integrate additional features and services we have planned. Your projects stay safe with us until you’re ready to share them. By securely anchoring your projects within Snapizzi before any external engagement, we not only streamline your workflow but also safeguard against the inadvertent modifications of remote folders—a challenge some of our users have encountered in the past.

To simplify your workspace, we introduced views and nested tools. This provides a more streamlined user interface, making it easier for you to navigate and utilize Snapizzi’s many features.

In addition, we have created separate views for subject and group photos, as well as our repair tools, ensuring a more intuitive and organized workflow for your projects. This will make managing your projects even easier!

As part of these updates, we are also excited to announce that accounts will now include storage for up to 25,000 photos. Should you require additional storage, it will be available for just $10 per month per 25,000 photos.

For existing users, the ability to migrate old projects to the new Snapizzi will be available, allowing you to benefit from the new architecture without losing any existing work.

Notable Improvements

Ease of Use:

  • Views for Navigation: The new photo management views make it easier to navigate around the project, but if you prefer, you can still use the top “Projects” link and the Dashboard control panel.
  • Two-Step Process: You can now create the remote part when setting up the project or later, offering more flexibility.
  • UI Improvements: The projects table loads faster, the uploader tracks failed uploads and can generate a list of failed files if needed. The photo galleries now load faster by only displaying what you need to see.

Background Enhancements:

  • The previous architecture relied on thumbnails from your connected platform, which would have eventually caused failures due to stricter browser policies that are already generating warnings. The new architecture resolves these issues.
  • Improvements in working with remote services have been made. Bundling and Proof Sheets will run much faster now.
  • Our updated architecture also paves the way for some exciting new features coming soon!

Will Customers Still Be Able to Find Pictures Created with the Previous Version?

  • Yes, your customers will still be able to find the pictures that were posted with the previous version of Snapizzi. The migration to the new Snapizzi retains backward compatibility with prior projects, and nothing has changed with our search feature or functionality.

Stay tuned for more updates and details as we roll out these exciting changes. We are committed to making Snapizzi even better for you, and we can’t wait for you to experience the new Snapizzi firsthand.

Thank you for being a part of the Snapizzi community. Onward to a brighter, more efficient future together!
